Vibe Interview team
Set up Vibe for a Yandex Telemost interview
People hear you in Telemost, but their question does not appear in Vibe. Separate call settings from the assistant’s system audio and test with another participant.
Tested on 23 October 2026
We tested Telemost with Vibe 4.48.4 stable on macOS 26.5.2 and Chrome 155 as the receiving client. A separate guest Chromium 145 sent synthetic study speech through its microphone into the actual call, with local playback muted. The receiver used built-in Mac speakers, Vibe system audio enabled and Vibe microphone disabled.
The speech appeared in Vibe as an interviewer turn and Auto produced a relevant answer. A second browser participant also received a shared TextEdit window and saw its test marker update. This verifies window delivery while Vibe is running; it does not establish assistant invisibility during entire-screen sharing.
Headsets, your voice through a physical microphone, Windows beta, the meeting service’s native app and proctoring were outside this test. Repeat the check with your own devices and intended sharing mode before an interview.
1. Record the client and devices
Check whether the invitation opens in a browser or the Telemost app. Connect the headset before testing and select microphone and playback devices. Note your OS, Vibe and client versions.
The web version requests browser microphone and camera permissions. Yandex notes that manual device selection is unavailable in some browsers; its browser or desktop app can provide that selection. This describes Telemost, not verified Vibe compatibility.
2. Test speech in both directions
Have the other person say a complete sentence and check that you hear it. Say your own sentence and have them confirm it reaches Telemost. Then start a Vibe session and repeat their sentence while you stay quiet.
Look for the meaning of their question in Vibe’s transcript. Test your own voice separately. If Vibe receives only your microphone, use the general system-audio guide; enabling the Telemost camera will not fix it.
Browser works, desktop app does not
Repeat the speech check without changing headset, client and Vibe settings at once. Record whether you hear the person, their transcript appears and a suggestion follows. These distinguish device playback, audio receipt and answer generation.
The test above covers the stated web configuration. Another browser, native app or corporate settings may change the result. Windows beta needs its own check.
Final checks
- Both participants hear each other in the intended Telemost client.
- Vibe receives their sentence and your voice, and produces a suggestion for a complete question.
- The other participant inspected the same sharing mode.
- No headset or client change occurred after the test; otherwise repeat it.
