AI assistants and proctoring: what can be verified
An invitation says “proctored assessment.” A successful Zoom call is insufficient evidence: identify the assessment system, launch method and organizer rules first.
Window protection does not describe all proctoring
Screen sharing transmits selected imagery. Depending on configuration, proctoring can also record page events, camera, microphone and other signals. A separate secure browser can restrict applications.
A window missing from one shared view establishes neither the absence of other recorded events nor permission to use an assistant.
Named systems
ProctorEdu lists application and tab switches, camera issues and missing screen sharing among recorded events. Event configuration matters more than assuming it is only a browser tab.
Safe Exam Browser for Windows includes process and screen-capture restrictions. It is a configurable assessment client, not equivalent to ordinary Chrome.
This article has no verified Vibe result for Examus, MTS assessments or other untested systems. A company name or another candidate’s anecdote cannot establish compatibility.
Ask the organizer
- The exact system and its official participant instructions.
- Browser, extension or separate application, with required OS and versions.
- Whether references or AI are permitted, and how approved assistive tools are handled.
- Whether an equivalent practice environment exists and how technical issues should be reported.
Vibe status
As of this research on October 23, 2026, no end-to-end Vibe result for Examus, ProctorEdu, Safe Exam Browser or MTS assessments was verified. The status is untested, not a guarantee of compatibility or detection.
Where use is permitted, test in the organizer’s practice environment with matching settings. Record audio, suggestions, sharing and environment requirements separately. A home video call cannot substitute for it.
Limits of the claim
Supported macOS window protection does not establish proctoring invisibility. We do not claim bypass, unrecorded key events or compatibility with every assessment.
If the system requires closing other applications, resolve it with the organizer before starting. Changing sharing mode does not change assessment rules.
