What is Vibe Interview?

Is it really invisible during screen sharing?

By default, Vibe stays out of supported macOS screen-sharing and recording flows. We still recommend a short test in the exact meeting app you plan to use before the real interview.

Does Vibe join the call as a bot?

No. No bot or extra guest appears in the participant list. Vibe runs as a separate app on your Mac and listens to system audio and your microphone.

What is Vibe Stream?

Vibe Stream lets you invite trusted people through a private link. Viewers can follow the shared screen, transcript, and answers, then send suggestions that appear beside Vibe answers. Vibe Stream is always optional.

Can it help with coding interviews?

Yes. Capture a coding task or diagram with Vision and Vibe can propose an approach, write code, explain the trade-offs, and estimate time and space complexity.

Do I need to provide my own API key?

No. The standard Vibe experience works with managed AI access after you sign in. Advanced users can configure alternative providers in Settings.

The current public build supports Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 13 or later. Windows and Linux versions are planned.

Is my data private and secure?

In the standard cascade path, call and microphone audio go to the selected speech-recognition service; transcript text and the context you enable go to the selected answer service. Connections are encrypted, diagnostic access is restricted, and no bot joins the call.

Vibe keeps the session history and builds a review around the questions, answers, and specific moments to improve. Your next round does not start from scratch.

What will macOS ask for on first launch?

The public build is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally. macOS asks for microphone and Screen & System Audio access only when you use those features.
